Oh how I am loving this weather ~ the beautiful late afternoon light ~ and another gorgeous family~
Just look at those lovely squishy little hands ~love ‘em!
Afternoon lovelies~
I have been pondering over the idea of my branding and packaging for a while~a few weeks ago I designed and did some cutting and came up with my new Miss Point&Click, Cut&Stick logo…
I wanted to be able to spread my branding to my packaging ~ a while ago I saw these cute camera stamps … now, rather than buy them .. I thought ~ ‘I can do that’ ~ so I did ~
I love doing printing and often do it with my art classes … and the wonderful thing is all you need is a polystyrene pizza base … ‘mazing!
I cut out my camera from the pizza base….
I wasn’t sure if it was going to work but I got my paint out … rolled it over the tested it out ~
I just love that first moment when you peel it back and see how its worked… blooming thrilled I was !
It gave just the sort of handprinted feel I wanted ~
I scanned one of the images…
…. and had a fiddle round in photoshop … and low and behold .. and only 2 hours later I have my very own self made packaging ……
Absolutely thrilled with it, just what I wanted ~ I can’t wait to start using it to make my packaging pretty ~
On Saturday, in the sweltering heat I travelled up to London Village to meet a couple who have booked me for their wedding in August…
Camille and I have been sharing emails for a few months, but its always quite an exciting moment when you actually meet a couple for the first time…
…and they were great! A really cute couple ~ I knew as soon as Camille opened the door and I saw her with some very cool 1920′s wallpaper behind her that we would get along just fine!! They have a super cool flat filled with all the sorts of things I love ~ a gorgeous Chinese paper cutting, A ‘Bugsy Malone’ phone, a lovely g-plan table and a fabulous bookshelf filled with interesting looking books … its always one of the first things I want to do when I go to anybody’s house, nose through their bookshelf!
It turns out that David is an English teacher and Camille is a phycologist ~ we had lots to chat about~
We had a lovely afternoon in the sunshine, I really enjoyed meeting them and taking their picture ~ and now can’t wait for their wedding in August which sounds just gorgeous ~
I do love my job …
I am a lucky Holly Bobs ~*
I couldn’t wait to share some of the photos from yesterdays shoot ~
It was a hot one, so we headed to the shade of the woods before going to the beautiful rape seed fields~
I loved this shoot, it was so much fun and the girls were just brilliant ~ and did so well in the 29 degree heat!!
Enjoy ~
Love Holly Bobs xXx
Hello Dolly ~*
I ran a competition few weeks ago via my Facebook page, my 500th ‘liker’ won an original Holly Bobbins piece of artwork ~
The Lovely winner asked if I could make something for her daughter Grace’s bedroom ~ and what better place for Dolly to live than an 8 year old girls bedroom!
I hope she loves her like I do~*
You may have noticed that I have a brand new banner, a bit of Bobbins branding ~
I thought I would share with you how I did it..
A few months ago my lovely friend Kate came up with the name Miss Point&Click Cut&Stick, which pretty much encapsulates what I do, I loved it and have been mulling over some branding ideas in my head for a while now.
I finally got some time on saturday and got going on it….
I started by drawing out my image onto card…
cutting it out….
…bit of doodling and fiddling….
..and then I photographed it and put it into photoshop and did some colouring!!
… low and behold … my new logo was born!
What do you think peeps? All feedback most welcome please!! ~*
Big Love Holly Bobs xXx
