Gemma & Sam {Hampton Court House}

Whilst summer seems to have buggered ooof again, the sunshine came back for a gorgeous morning with Gemma & Sam at Hampton Court Palace gardens.

I love Hampton Court. A very dear friend lives there, so I visit often, which is dangerous because it is awash with junk shops, Emporiums of weird and wonderfulness and pretty ‘things’ ~ which I am drawn to like a magpie. I once came back with a huge art deco mirror ~ theres just so much ‘stuff’ … LOVE IT ~ I digresses …. got a bit over excited thinking about it all the ‘stuff’…….mmmm ‘stuff’

……So I managed to steer myself away from it all and I met Gemma and Sam at Hampton Court House where they’re getting married later this year ~

It’s actually AMAZING! I am now so super excited about shooting their wedding…. There are grottos in the gardens…GROTTOS!! Its light and bright and quirky and is going to be awesome!!

We had a lovely stroll round the glorious gardens of Hampton Court Palace, the blossom and flowers and general gorgeousness of nature was stunning and we had a lovely shoot, followed by a german lady who thought it was all very amusing as they were laying down in the grass…

…..and then to the pub for a pint ~ what a great day!

Cant wait for this wedding, such a lovely couple and stunning venue…..Yay for my job! Its brilliant

I may have mentioned this before, but I just love flowers!

I met with a friend, Sharron, this morning for coffee, I shot her wedding a few weeks ago … and bless her, I arrived to a big bunch of beautiful pink, miniature roses.

{You can see Sharron and Iain’s gorgeous day here…. stunning flowers too!!}

We had a lovely coffee and a catch up, getting some ideas about what she would like to do with her wedding photos.

After I left, big bunch of flowers in my arms, I just couldn’t resist popping into the charity shop next door ~ and low and behold, what do I find but some gorgeous little glass bottles to add to my collection, only 49p each too ~ and the perfect size for miniature pink roses!!

How bloomin’ lovely ~ couldn’t help but take a few photos ~*

Philippa and Kevin’s match made in heaven {Titchfield Abbey}

Congratulations to Philippa and Kevin who tied the knot on April 5th in Titchfield, Hampshire.

After meeting on Match, Kevin proposed on Christmas eve 2 years ago. Bringing together their two families and also bringing together Saints and Pompy…A bit like Romeo and Juliet!!

Philippa and Kevin were super brave and we went down to Titchfield Mill, just down the road…. They not only braved the cold and biting wind, but also a ride in my car… if I had known I was going to have a beautiful bride in her dress in the back I would have tidied it up a bit … as it was, I just had to cover the seat with my sons coat so no stray bits of food got stuck to her…nice!! Lucky we know each other!!

But it was worth it…. Titchfield Mill makes a beautiful backdrop for photos I think you’ll agree.

Congratulations and I hope you had a FANTASTIC time in Barbados!! ( So Jealous!! ) and every wishing you both a very happy and sunny future.

Sharron & Iain’s bright and beautiful and sunny wedding ~

Now this is what we all need, some sunshine and colour injected into our lives after this long grey endless cold…

Sharron and Iain got married on the warmest, loveliest day of the year so far, the sun shone and its warmth came through…at last!

They got married in their local church in Easton, just a walk away from their house, and the reception at the village hall which you can see across the field from their house.

So much effort was made by friends and family to make it so pretty and colourful ~ it was a real group effort and it looked fantastic.

It was such a lovely morning.. everyone helping out and trying to keep Iain from seeing Sharron’s dress and he was back and forth from the hall to the house getting everything ready!

The flowers were just stunning, so bright and colourful and the florist, Catherine Wallace, made the most amazing tulip pomander. There were bright burst of colour everywhere, from the flowers to the ribbons and butterflies, bunting and balloons and home made signs by the kids. So much effort had gone into it all.

After a beautiful ceremony everyone came out to the gorgeous sunshine and Iains nephews playing acoustic guitar and singing ~ all of the 150 guests walked back through the village to the reception ~ it was a wonderful sight to see… reminded me of a Jane Austin wedding!!

Sharron and Iain wanted a chilled out day with out pomp and ceremony, a day that everyone could just enjoy. They really had thought of everything to make it the most relaxed day possible for everyone. The kids had a bouncy castle and their own marquee, with a children’s entertainer and even showing a film later on in the afternoon….Brilliant idea! Happy, amused children make for a happy relaxed mums and dads!

It really was such a lovely day filled with sunshine, laughter, friends and family and most of all love. Just as a wedding should be.

Guy & Mariana ~

Yesterday I went down in to the New Forest to meet up with one of my oldest friends, Guy, and his beautiful and lovely wife Mariana.

Guy lived just down the road from me when we were kids and we’ve know each other since we were about 10. I am very fond of my dear friend ‘Fatty’.

Mariana is from Mexico,and they met through a friend. After travelling together and working in various places around the world, Guy proposed to Marianna in New Zealand.

I was so moved by Mariana’s story of his proposal when she told me a few years ago. I didn’t know my friend has such romance in him!

He designed her engagement ring himself, which in itself is massive points in my eyes! He spent ages working out what he wanted to say to her and learnt it all in spanish so he could ask her in her language… and under a star filled sky in New Zealand he asked her to marry him and she said yes!

After getting married in Mexico and living there for a while they are now back living in the uk and expecting a baby.

So I met up with them yesterday and had a good catch up before the baby arrives.

I wish you both all the love and happiness you deserve. I am so happy for you Guy to have found such a beautiful, funny and kind woman to share your life with and now to share having a family with.

I cant wait to meet him or her!!
